I recently had the opportunity to visit with reporter Danielle Trubow about my experiences in becoming a financial planner for her article on the shortage of female financial advisors. I started Keener Financial Planning in 2008 to be able to provide objective, fee only financial planning and investment advice. And through the years, it’s been a pleasure to work with clients from many walks of life — some who sought me out because I was a woman, and others who were just happy to have found a local financial advisor to provide competent, objective advice as a fee-only fiduciary. I’m delighted that Danielle chose to use my story to highlight this important issue of attracting more women to serve as financial advisors — thanks Danielle! You can find the full article here.
