We are pleased to announce that the first annual Keener Financial Planning scholarship was awarded last night. Michelle Nguyen is the highly accomplished recipient. The scholarship was awarded through The Greater Keller Women’s Club Foundation.

We started this scholarship to help more talented young women and men in Keller from a wide range of backgrounds become aware of financial planning as a career path and get the support they need to come out of college with less debt. We plan to continue offering it in future years. We encourage Keller ISD students with an interest in financial planning as a career to apply through the Greater Keller Women’s Club Foundation application process.
We could not have asked for a better first-year recipient. The Foundation received over 70 applicants this year. Michelle Nguyen was selected from this very competitive group.
Michelle is attending the University of Texas at Austin in the fall to pursue a major in finance. She will also be coming to the Keener Financial Planning office in Keller later this summer for a day-in-the-life of a financial planner to give her more information as she makes her career decisions. We wish her all the best as she embarks on this next exciting phase of life.
